Beach of the month: Banjul Beach

My Magazine 2022/10
1 min
Banjul is the Capital city of The Gambia; it is sandwiched between the Atlantic Ocean and the River Gambia, which makes it a peninsula. Banjul boasts some coastline running on the northern part from around Denton bridge to the ferry terminal.

To explore and enjoy some tourist spots on the island, drive up to around Arch 22 and turn left, beside the marina parade, to find a sandy beach with a few beach bars, restaurants, and the Assaraya Atlantic hotel, all of which provide sunbeds to enjoy one of The Gambia's smallest yet clean and charming beaches. Spend a relaxing day enjoying drinks, leisure, and other activities within the palm and coco trees or combine a beach visit with the exploration of one of the smallest capitals in the world.
