At the end of the two-day initiative held at Bojang River Lodge, the training encouraged a consensus building on the needful actions of these parties in promoting effective education, improved academic performance and monitoring, and ethical leadership. Similarly, the training inspired discussion on the challenges confronting the school and how they, the parties can develop a critical roadmap to put the school on the footing of productive outcomes to be the pride of not only Bakau but The Gambia at large. The training also touched on the need to monitor performance, communicate effectively amongst parties in a bid to be proactive and deliver results
Facilitators of the training who came from different institutions included Mr. Lamin Gibba, Deputy Managing Director of Lacuna Gambia Limited; Mr. Mustapha Sonko, Migration Officer of National Youth Council; Mr. John Gomez, Standard and Quality Assurance Directorate, Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education; Mr. Bah Cluster Monitor; and Mr. Babucarr Jaye of BJ Academy.
Speaking at the occasion, the School Custodian Mama Chris – while thanking resource persons, teachers, parents, and students – emphasized on the relevance of the training adding that it has the potential to position the school as a center of academic excellence.
