La Cucina at The Sun Beach Hotel in Bakau gives you a chance to find out! 

La Cucina (pronounced as La Cuchina) means The Kitchen in Italian. 

A simple but picturesque little restaurant on the beach with views that blow your senses! It does not boast fancy decor because Mother nature has already blessed it with the best ambience! Dining in such an environment will touch you on a deeper level and make the food taste fresh and delectable. Overall a fine dining experience that is sophisticated, unique, and expensive. Perfect for any special occasion! 

The cool Atlantic breeze embraces you while you relish your sumptuous meal in the courtyard patio of La Cucina. There's a rooftop dining area being revived, and once it's done, you can dine under the clear blue skies and twinkling stars after watching the breathtaking sunset. After all, to watch a sunset is to connect with the Divine.

Although the name, the architecture of the kitchen and the outdoor woodfired oven is based on Italian design, the restaurant does not serve Italian cuisine. Their menu has been carefully designed to bring you mouth-watering International and Continental cuisine, which is authentic and made with fresh ingredients. The A La Carte menu features mainly seafood, but there are delicacies for poultry and red meat lovers. 

The bar is well equipped with a large selection of cold and hot beverages that enhance your meal. 

Soft music adds to the ethereal experience of fine dining at La Cucina.

While waiting for your meal, take a walk on the beach or collect some sea shells to take home as a memento.

Currently, La Cucina is testing the waters with tentative steps after a long break due to the covid pandemic. As such, it will be open for dining only on Friday and Saturday evenings from 7 pm to 11 pm (the last order will be accepted at 10:45 pm). But they have a lot of plans in the pipeline and hope to be in full swing from October this year. 

Small buffets can be accommodated for groups of twenty or more people but require an advance notice of 48 hours.

Feeling cold? La Cucina offers Tartan shawls to keep you warm while you're their guest. But please do remember to return them when you're leaving.
