If you're looking for a delicious and hearty dish to start your day or enjoy as a savory dinner in The Gambia, then look no further than Nyambeh Nyebeh. This traditional Gambian recipe is a popular street food that is made with cassava, beans, and a mouth-watering stew that's full of flavor.

Preparing Nyambeh Nyebeh takes time, but the end result is worth it. The sprat cooking of the beans and cassava makes the dish tender and flavorful. In addition to cassava and beans, the recipe calls for oil, onion, pepper, green pepper, black pepper, spring onion, seasoning cube, garlic, tomato paste, and salt.

To start making Nyambeh Nyebeh, you'll first need to remove any unwanted items from the beans and wash them thoroughly with water. Then, put the beans in a pot and add water. Boil for 45 minutes, while simultaneously boiling the cassava in a separate pot for the same amount of time.

Next, it's time to prepare the stew. Begin by pounding the vegetables, then sauté them with oil and seasoning for several minutes. This will create a rich and flavorful base for the dish.

Finally, it's time to plate up your Nyambeh Nyebeh. Start by placing the cassava on the plate, then add the beans, and finish with a generous helping of the stew. You can also serve with additional veggies or condiments on the side to customize the dish to your liking.

Nyambeh Nyebeh is a must-try dish for anyone visiting The Gambia. It's a true taste of Gambian culture and a testament to the country's rich culinary traditions. So, whether you enjoy it for breakfast, dinner, or as a street food, Nyambeh Nyebeh is sure to be a highlight of your trip.
