In July's issue, we focused on green season options for visitors of The Gambia.... because The Gambia is an all-year-round destination and not only a winter destination!
One of the misconceptions about the green season is that everything is closed. Some businesses will indeed close for the green season, but numerous accommodation providers, restaurants, local agents, transportation providers, etc. are operating the whole year. You might get surprised at how many places are actually NOT closed.
So, if you are in The Gambia right now or you plan to come before October, you have many dining options! Apart from local food, you can have almost anything you want.... And most of them are now offering food delivery or take-away as well.
As tourism in northern Kombo has expanded in recent years, so has the choice of restaurants & bars, with a huge range of styles on offer, from modern European to Lebanese, from simple barbecues to elaborate Asian banquets. The resort area has the greatest concentration of international and national-style restaurants in the country.
