Fashion Weekend Gambia with the acronym FWG is the most prominent fashion forum in The Gambia.

Annual fashion event is creating an international level platform for the Gambian creative industry. They promote designers, models, makeup artists and photographers. It also attracts creative start-ups and audiences from all over the world.

In December 2021, Fashion Weekend Gambia held its 10th anniversary at Tamala Beach Resort with the Theme ˝Sustainability˝. It was a two-day event during the weekend, Friday and Saturday, featuring different designers, models, makeup artists from The Gambia and other parts of West Africa.

The event was accompanied by live traditional music by Gambian artist Mariama Cham. Guests enjoyed a scrumptious buffet provided by the F&B team of Tamala Beach Resort. After the live music, the models began to elegantly walk the runway, which was set up to the middle of the pool of Tamala. They displayed the creative works of the different designers in style and glam. It was indeed a night of glitz!!!
