Among the nominees are Abubacarr S Camara, Director General of The Gambia Tourism Board; Sheikh Tejan Nyang, Head of the Institute of Travel and Tourism of The Gambia ITTOG ; and Dr. Adama Bah, Board Chairman of ITTOG, all recognized in the Leadership category for their visionary roles in advancing Gambian tourism.
In the Hospitality category, the spotlight shines on Malleh Sallah, CEO of Djeliba Leisure Group (Tamala Beach Resort, Balafon Beach Resort, Kalimba Beach Resort and Kombo Beach Hotel) and Fatou Mass Jobe Njie, the former Minister for Tourism and Culture, both of whom have significantly enhanced the hospitality experience in The Gambia.
Additionally, Adama Njie, Director of Tourism Promotion at the Gambia Tourism Board - United Kingdom Office, has been nominated in the Marketing category, reflecting his impactful efforts in positioning The Gambia as a premier travel destination.
Yunus Saliu has been acknowledged in the Media category for his outstanding work in promoting Gambian tourism through media.
The awards ceremony will take place on September 23rd, 2024, at the Eko Hotels Convention Center in Lagos, Nigeria, where these outstanding leaders will be celebrated for their contributions.
