The name "JKo" a creative abbreviation for Jawneh Company, was born from Isatou's desire to introduce all-day brunches, a concept she loved in France, to The Gambia. Isatou also observed that many people would travel to Senegal to indulge in such experiences. This inspired Isatou to bridge this gap by creating a space where people can not only enjoy delectable meals but also relax and work.

Isatou's courage in introducing this new concept to The Gambia is commendable, especially at such a young age. The menu at JKo is a delightful fusion of Gambian and international cuisines. Their standout dish, the crispy chicken and waffles is indeed worth the hype. The waffles were perfectly crunchy, arguably the best in The Gambia, and the chicken was seasoned to perfection, adding a delightful twist to the classic dish. We also recommend the Caramel Latte and the apple and cucumber Green Detox. The menu also includes a variety of hot beverages, cocktails, iced lattes, smoothies, fresh juices, and local juices. For those seeking a full meal, there are a few options for them as well.

Located in Kololi Senegambia New Road at Dr Sallah's Junction, JKo boasts a cozy ambience. The cream and coffee-coloured walls, paired with minimalistic decorations and pine-colored furniture offset by moss-green upholstery, create a warm and inviting atmosphere. The use of wooden straws highlights Isatou's commitment to sustainability. Takeaway options are available and Isatou plans to introduce a delivery service soon.

JKo Brunch and Lunch is open Tuesdays to Fridays from 8 am to 8 pm, Saturdays and Sundays from 9 am to 9 pm and it is closed on Mondays.
