A number of rescued sea turtles are expected to be released on 4th July 2026, and the organisation is hoping to tag some of them in order to collect valuable research and conservation data. The tagging helps track migration routes, growth rates, feeding areas, and turtle habitats while contributing to long-term marine conservation efforts in The Gambia.
Volunteers will assist the CETAG team with tagging activities and help share knowledge about recording and monitoring data related to tagged sea turtles.
This is a meaningful opportunity for people passionate about marine life, conservation, research, and environmental protection to contribute directly to one of The Gambia’s inspiring community-based environmental initiatives.
Interested volunteers can apply before 30th June 2026 with the subject line: “Turtle Tagging Volunteer”
