The initiative, implemented by the International Trade Centre in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism, Arts & Culture and the Ministry of Trade, Industry, Regional Integration, and Employment, seeks to strengthen the competitiveness, inclusiveness, and sustainability of these industries—positioning The Gambia as a hub of talent, innovation, and cultural richness.

The launch event brought together key stakeholders, government officials, and industry leaders, including:
- Mrs. Cordu L. Jabang, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, Arts & Culture
- Ida Cham Njai, Community-Based Entrepreneur
- Ms. Pamela Coke-Hamilton, Executive Director of the International Trade Centre
- Her Excellency Ms. Immaculada Roca i Cortes, EU Ambassador to The Gambia
- His Excellency President Adama Barrow, President of The Republic of The Gambia

In his speech, President Barrow highlighted the critical role of tourism and creative industries in shaping The Gambia’s future, emphasizing the government's strong commitment to youth employment and empowerment. He reaffirmed that investing in young people is key to driving economic resilience and innovation, ensuring that The Gambia remains an attractive destination for both visitors and investors.

With tourism and culture being some of The Gambia’s greatest assets, this project is a step towards a brighter future, where young creatives, entrepreneurs, and industry professionals can thrive, contribute to the economy, and showcase the country's rich heritage on the global stage.
