The story of Choco Loco begins with its owner, Mrs. Rima Bourgi who always dreamed of creating a place where people could enjoy sweets, desserts, and cakes made from scratch. After pursuing her studies in the UK, she deepened her knowledge of bread making and brought her skills home. Back in The Gambia, she transformed her long-held vision into a warm and welcoming café where freshness, creativity, and flavor take center stage.
Finding the right name was its own journey. After brainstorming countless ideas, it was her brother who suggested “Choco Loco.” The moment she heard it, she knew it was perfect — playful, memorable, and just right for a place built on the joy of chocolate and desserts.
Choco Loco’s menu is a showcase of variety and craftsmanship. Dessert lovers will be spoiled for choice with options like Brownies to Die For, Pistachio White Chocolate, and the decadent Lotus Biscoff Cheesecake. For those who like to create their own combinations, the café also offers a “Build Your Own” concept, letting you choose a base, toppings, and sauces to design the dessert of your dreams.
Fans of waffles and pancakes can indulge in classics such as Crêpes Suzette, Bubble Waffles, or the crowd-pleasing Banoffee Slice topped with caramel sauce and biscuit crumble.
And it doesn’t stop at sweets. The patisserie also serves sandwiches, croissants, and breads, making it a great choice for breakfast, lunch, or an evening snack.
On the drinks side, Choco Loco shines with a wide variety of coffees, teas, smoothies, and milkshakes. Popular choices include the Caramel Macchiato, refreshing Virgin Mojito, tropical smoothies, and indulgent milkshakes like the Strawberry Dream or Cookies & Cream Shake. Each sip and bite reflects the café’s philosophy of freshness and homemade quality.
But Choco Loco is not just about what’s on the menu. It’s about the experience. The café has been designed as a space where guests can linger — whether for a quick morning espresso, an afternoon treat, or a late-night milkshake with friends. Its flexible hours, from early mornings to late evenings, make it a versatile spot for all kinds of visits.
