Welcome to My Magazine's January issue.
We believe many of you made at least one new year's resolution. We hope you still stick with it! We made a resolution to do everything possible to make destination Gambia known to the world for its magnificent culture, people and places. We made a resolution to encourage sustainability and promote responsible ways of travelling even more. We are continuing the mission with wonderful partners and a great amount of passion. Although most of the new year's resolutions are forgotten after a few weeks or months, we believe many come true, and we are sure ours belong to that basket.
In this month's issue, we looked back and laughed at all our fails caught on the camera, tuned in with Mercy and Sunday, and learned about the updates on the project by In-Us. We cooked beloved chura gherte, spotted African Darter, took new photos of Gambian trees and experienced a wonderful community-based getaway to Ndemban village. We gathered special promotions from some of our partners to give you ideas of where to go for your next vacation. We explored Cape Point market, learned about the importance of shea butter, participated in a batik workshop and were amazed about the hunting masquerade parade in Banjul. We peeked into some of the amazing projects like improvements in the community Jamali which is part of Ninki Nanka Trail, the Donkiloo Laa project encouraging cultural exchange through songs, and volunteering projects in the medical field. We gathered some of the best glimpses of new years celebration and put together actual news and interesting changes in the field of the hospitality sector. And we did not forget to revive some of the best articles from previous issues.
Was one of your new year's resolutions to travel more? We encourage you to stick with it and explore our beautiful destination Gambia. Do not worry, we are here to help you plan it according to your wishes.
Enjoy reading and watching!
