This trip is suitable for families with kids older than 5 years. We have very positive experiences with families coming for this type of travel. The kids were the ones who enjoyed the most.
The volunteering experience in the field can be quite exhaustive due to the heat and a smaller amount of physical work. You will however have enough time to recover your strength.
Pack everything you need for your basic needs. We recommend having a Gambian SIM number, as accessibility to the internet is sometimes a problem. We also recommend bringing a power bank. Make sure you pack mosquito repellents, trekking covered shoes and comfortable wear.
