Dandeng Kulledeng – The Gambia Wildlife Foundation is dedicated to protecting and preserving The Gambia’s wildlife and natural habitats. With over seven years of combined operational experience, the foundation focuses on rescuing, rehabilitating, and releasing animals affected by the illegal pet trade, human activity, or injury, while also providing safe care for those unable to return to the wild.

The foundation works closely with government agencies, local communities, veterinary professionals, and conservation experts to ensure its efforts are effective and sustainable. It also promotes community-based ecotourism, helping local communities benefit from conservation while building stronger awareness and appreciation of The Gambia’s flora and fauna.

Key initiatives include wildlife rescue and rehabilitation, habitat restoration, community education, research and monitoring of endangered species, and collaboration with conservation partners. Notable successes include the rehabilitation and release of several species, including three patas monkeys, back into the wild, where they continue to thrive.
