The C4RC Project is a grant-funded initiative dedicated to securing the populations and habitats of endangered Temminck’s Red Colobus monkeys (Piliocolobus b. temminckii) through collaboration with national and international partners. By implementing the Red Colobus Action Plan (ReCAP), the project addresses the fragmentation and decline of these populations, focusing on conservation, community livelihood development, and sustainable practices.
C4RC's rangers play a key role in building local capacity for primate conservation, conducting wildlife surveys, and promoting eco-tourism. The project also works to reduce dependence on logging, support education and awareness programs, and share best practices and research to enhance conservation efforts across West Africa.
