Black and White Cultural Band Gunjur is an exciting and vibrant music group based in Gunjur, The Gambia, founded by the talented and passionate griot, Bunja.

With a deep-rooted family legacy in traditional drumming and griot practices, Bunja’s journey has led him to master multiple instruments and rhythms, particularly the Djembe, which he learned through extensive cultural exploration across West Africa.

The band not only performs across the country but also plays a vital role in preserving and teaching the cultural traditions of The Gambia. Through their captivating performances and educational programs, Black and White Cultural Band Gunjur showcases the rich musical heritage of the region, blending rhythms, dances, and stories that transcend generations.
