We use digital tools such as website, social pages, YouTube channel, and we create a monthly online magazine to come closer to the potential visitors, tourist, volunteers, business people, all the people living in The Gambia and Gambians living abroad.
We are now expanding our team and looking for a media production assistant, marketing expert and sales assistant.

SALES ASSISTANT

My Gambia is looking for an organized, detail-oriented team player with good writing and verbal skills, and the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.

A positive attitude and professional demeanour are essential along with the flexibility to work in a rapidly changing environment. The individual will work closely with the sales team to ensure the effective placement of sales activity. Specifically, the Sales Assistant will work with the sales force on processing advertising contracts, obtaining creative materials, generating support materials for the sales team, and coordinating the scheduling and launch of advertising campaigns.

This is a great opportunity in a growing organization for someone who is able to maintain a high level of accuracy and remain calm under pressure.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of sales proposals, advertising packages and presentations to the client.
  • Create supportive marketing materials for the sales department and social network.
  • Effectively communicate with other departments (marketing, production, web design) and clients on performance and delivery of campaigns.
  • Maintain organized filing systems.
  • Keep progress tabs on various sales initiatives.
  • Work cooperatively with managers, co-workers and clients to deliver high-level service.
  • Interact with co-workers, clients and the viewing public in a professional manner, both on the phone and in person.
  • Customers data collection and regular updating.
Experience Requirements:
 
  • Must have software experience, including MS Office Word and Excel.
  • Must have experience with internet browsing and information searching.
  • Must have experience with social networks and apps.
  • Previous sales experience preferred.
  • Previous commercial magazine experience is a plus.
  • Must speak Wolof and/or Mandinka and English.
Qualifications Requirements:
 
  • Ability to learn, cooperate and grow.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment, manage multiple projects and tight deadlines.

MARKETING EXPERT

My Gambia is looking for a knowledgeable person with no fear of public performance, excellent communication capability, professional attitude and pervasive presentation skills.

A passion for marketing and innovative approaches are essential along with the flexibility to work in a rapidly changing environment. The individual will work closely with the sales and media production team to ensure the effective placement of marketing activities. Specifically, the Marketing Expert will work with potential and acquired partners as well as the My Gambia team and will manage the ongoing marketing activities for an online magazine and social media.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of sales proposals, advertising packages and presentations to the client.
  • Create supportive marketing materials for the sales department and social network.
  • Effectively communicate with other departments (marketing, production, web design) and clients on performance and delivery of campaigns.
  • Grow audience on social pages, subscriber’s list and YouTube Channel. 
  • Keep progress tabs on various sales initiatives.
  • Work cooperatively with managers, co-workers and clients to deliver high-level service.
  • Interact with co-workers, clients and the viewing public professionally, both on the phone and in person.
  • Create engaging marketing promotions. 
  • Build relationships with partners abroad. 
  • Reach a wider international audience.
  • Write content (articles) for an online magazine, social pages and guide.    
Experience Requirements:
 
  • Must have software experience, including MS Office Word and Excel.
  • Must have experience with internet browsing and information searching.
  • Must have experience with social networks and apps.
  • Previous marketing and advertising experience preferred.

My Gambia is looking for a hardworking team player with a passion for photography, videography, editing, webpage content managing and more. 

Eagerness to learn and a creative mindset is essential along with the flexibility to work in a rapidly changing environment. The individual will work in the media production team but also cooperate with the sales and marketing team to create marketing and educational content about The Gambia and its hidden potentials for visitors.  

This is a great opportunity in a growing company for someone who is able to maintain creativity at a high level, enjoy diverse work and doesn’t mind a flexible work schedule.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in photography, videography, editing, designing and webpage content management. 
  • Create supportive marketing materials for the sales department and social network.
  • Effectively communicate within own and other departments (marketing, production, web design) on performance and delivery of digital content.
  • Maintain organized storage for digital materials.

  • Basic knowledge in IT prefered.
  • Previous experience with media production. 
  • Must speak Wolof and/or Mandinka and English.
