There are many things to do and see in Sanyang and The Gambia. Braiding your hair, visiting a local market, taking drumming or dancing classes, kayaking, swimming, fishing, and visiting the craft market are just a few of them. Weekends are perfect for exploring the country. With our selection of responsible trips and tours, you will discover Gunjur and the southern Gambia, and if you wish, also northern or inner parts of The Gambia. All free-time activities are optional and can be customized by your preferences.
You can join us for 10 days or even long-term volunteering. It depends on you!
This trip is suitable for families with kids older than 6 years.
The volunteering experience in the field can be quite exhaustive due to the heat and physical work. You will however have enough time to recover your strength.
Pack everything you need for your basic needs. We recommend having a Gambian SIM number, as accessibility to the internet is sometimes a problem. We also recommend bringing a power bank. Make sure you pack mosquito repellents, trekking covered shoes and comfortable wear.
