Sanyang Beach is located about 30 kilometres from Kololi, the primary tourist area. There are several ways to get there. The easiest and faster but not the cheapest is to hire a green tourist taxi or use a local yellow taxi for a town trip. Most of the taxis know the area of Sanyang beach.
If you want to use public transport, the best is to reach Brusubi Turn Table and hop on the so-called “gele gele” (bush taxi) to Tanji for about GMD 12. Most often, you will not get direct transport to Sanyang; therefore, you need to reach Tanji first and then look for another “gele gele” to Sanyang for about GMD 10. If you can get direct transport from Turn Table to Sanyang, it usually costs GMD 18. When you reach the village, you need to look for another transportation, a shared yellow taxi for approximately GMD 15, which will take you from the market to the beach where most of the tourist facilities and activities are centred.
Pick-up at your location and transport can be arranged for an additional cost.
