Itinerary

Start of trip

Your adventure begins at Denton Bridge - approximately a 30-minute drive from the main tourist areas.

What to expect

from Fishing Boat Trip

The day begins as you arrive at the Denton Bridge in Banjul at 8 a.m., where your adventure awaits. You will arrive at the dock, boarding a well-equipped double-decker boat equipped with life jackets and toilet facilities.

When everyone is settled and comfortable, the boat will head towards the stunning mangroves. Breakfast will be served on board after some time on the water, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the serene atmosphere. You will cruise through the intricate creeks and channels leading to the main river and observe different species of birds, mangrove swamps, and small fishing boats. As you continue on this scenic route, keep your eyes peeled for bird species you may not have seen before. You can use the boat's top deck to snap photos or sunbathe in the peaceful surroundings.

After cruising for a few hours, we will arrive at Lamin Lodge, a wonderful place built on the bank of the Lamin Creek, providing a perfect place to explore and take in the beautiful surroundings. Spend some time wandering around the lodge, taking photos, or simply relaxing and enjoying the peaceful ambience. After some time, lunch will be served on board, allowing you to enjoy the scenery while savouring a tasty meal.

After exploring Lamin Lodge, it's time to board the boat again for the return journey. The lazy boat trip continues as you sit back, relax, and soak up the sun while enjoying the company of your fellow travellers. The boat will head back towards the Denton Bridge, where the journey began, providing one last opportunity to appreciate the stunning scenery.

As the day ends, you'll disembark at the Denton Bridge, feeling refreshed and rejuvenated after a day spent in nature's embrace. This lazy boat trip offers a unique and unforgettable way to explore the unspoiled beauty of the Gambia River, making it the perfect choice for those seeking relaxation and peace in a stunning natural setting.
