The Fajara Club Christmas Sale and Food Festival

My Magazine 2022/12
2 min
A hugely successful event with a real Christmas-like festive atmosphere.

Over 40 stalls, ranging from food stalls (from different parts of the world), textiles, garments, handicrafts, trinkets & jewellery, art & crafts, souvenirs, and games - the Fajara Club, in collaboration with the Indian Social & Cultural Association, put up an amazing event that was attended by hundreds of visitors. There were numerous lucky dip raffle prizes and a constant cheer from winner's prizes varying from little gifts to prize vouchers, meals in restaurants, and some cash prizes.

The food stalls were constantly crowded, with a buzz around the Gambian Food counter - Olele was in great demand, as was the Jamaican stall. Several Indian stalls, too, with finger foods and famous street food items like pani poori, samosas, and vadas, provided the guests with a wide variety to satisfy their appetites. A variety of juices, drinks, and al la carte food flowed from the Club's 19th Hole Restaurant too.

Children and adults alike also used the Clubs pool to keep cool on what was quite a hot day.
Background music kept the ambience up right through the day.
