Happiness is more than a good feeling or a yellow smiley face. It's the feeling of truly enjoying your life. It is the backbone of self-confidence, and it is the desire to make the very best out of everything.

Why is Happiness so important & and how can we achieve it?

Scientific evidence suggests that being happy may have major benefits for your health.
Being happy promotes a healthy lifestyle, it may also help combat stress, boost your immune system, protect your heart and reduce pain.
Furthermore, it may even increase your life expectancy.

So how does it work?

Hormones like Dopamine, Serotonin, and Endorphins, travel through the bloodstream, acting as messengers and playing a part in many bodily processes.
One of the significant functions, of the so-called happy hormones, is helping to regulate your mood.

What can I do to improve my happiness?

Working on your mindset is a good step into true happiness.
Your mindset plays a critical role in how you cope with life's challenges.
If you have a growth mindset, you believe that your talents and abilities can be developed over time through effort and persistence.
With some effort, you can develop a mindset of happiness.

And there are more possibilities to get happy!

Have you ever tried Yoga?

The benefits of practising Yoga have been known by Yogis for thousands of years, modern research proves that it truly can make you happier. We know that practising Yoga poses consistently helps with your overall mobility, strength, and flexibility, and can also boost mental health.
The practice of Yoga combines physical exercise postures, stretching, deep breathing, and mental focus. You learn to unite breath and movement, body and mind.
Yoga can be considered technology for getting back in touch with our true essence and ourselves.
It is a way of remembering the health and wholeness that is our natural state of being.

Dancing – the happiness booster.

Letting your body flow can also be a therapeutic experience.
Within the scientific community, a growing number of researchers have proven that, while dancing, an abundance of mood-improving chemicals are released within the body of the dancer. It can help you release pent-up aggression and stress.
It greatly increases your overall fitness, helps with weight loss, and in addition, it is boosting your energy and mood.

I offer courses in yoga, dance, fitness and nutritional advice as well as acrobatics and dance for children. Come and join us at the Yoga and Dance studio at Kotu.

I wish everyone a happy and healthy month!
