MY TRAVEL PLANACCOMMODATIONtrips & activitiesevents

Dear readers,

Welcome to our November Issue of My Magazine.

November is coming to an end, and we are slowly approaching the festive season. There is cold and winter in many parts of the world while The Gambia is hot and sunny all the time. So, visit The Gambia if you would rather wear flip-flops and short sleeves. My Gambia Team will help you plan your travel and provide a tailor-made itinerary for you.

It has been another month of exploring for us. We crossed the border to taste the tranquillity of the Saloum Delta in Senegal and rediscovered some hidden Gambian gems around the creeks of river Gambia in the Kombo.

Our little country has many things to offer for every type of traveller. We are happy to tell you that now you can not only read about it but also book adventures with us. We are creating new products with our dear partners every day, and we can tell you all about them, as we are the ones experiencing and creating them by ourselves.

November's Issue of My Magazine is rich with stories. Stories of people who decided to start their life in The Gambia and people who are trying to make it in The Gambia with their skills and determination. Read about the second season of the amazing musical show King's & Queens, about what music means to pianist Kutz, why did Musa choose tennis over football, why did Amy decide to leave the USA and restart her life in the bush, what Mr Ceesay, the managing director of APS thinks makes their company different from others, how Fatou came to the idea to make baskets and Angelika's invitation to move forward sustainable and green development through awareness.

Our tops of the month are plasas and tamarind juice, white-faced whistling duck, aloe vera and a trip to Saloum Delta.

We explored many places: Galloya, Kubuneh, Fajara Craft Market, enjoyed Coco Ocean and last but not least, got overwhelmed with delicious Italian food in Gusto.

We checked the development of dream beachside homes of Kololi Sands and the Edge.

For those, who love culture, tradition, nature and festivals, we created the Kankurang festival package – we invite you to join us on our trip to Janjanbureh in January. We also write about the Wolof ethnic group, tooth sticks, vegetables available in The Gambia you must try, and the process of making silver bangle.

My Charity section talks about volunteering opportunities in Brufut and Gunjur, environmental protection challenges and the importance of the Red Dolphin Lifeguard Association.

Don't miss the section In Focus, where we bring you news and announcements of new things available in town, events, special promotions from our partners and glimpses of past events.

And, of course, we revived some of the articles from our past issues.

Enjoy reading, listening and watching!
