BBQ Nights at charming Balafon

My Magazine 2022/02

It's Friday, and you feel like ending a working week with some good barbecue food, live music, neon lights in the pool, and the fresh sea breeze. Where to go? To Balafon Beach Resort

Each Friday, Bantaba Restaurant of Balafon Beach Resort invites for a BBQ night. For GMD 1100 per person, you can enjoy an unlimited bbq buffet and some lovely live music.

My Gambia team witnessed the opening night, and we must say, we really enjoyed the ambience. The Bantaba restaurant was full of guests, amongst which there were many famous names in The Gambia.

The always friendly and professional staff catered for our needs when serving drinks at the tables.

The buffet offered some of the well-selected side dishes and salads while grill masters prepared the meat by the order.

On the opening night, we enjoyed lovely gentle covers of many popular afrobeat songs by the Talk of the Town Band. And, of course, the magical ambience of the resort. Nighttime brings out the special aura created by dimmed lights combined with the colourful play of lights in the pools.

Balafon Beach Resort has a unique and individual identity among Gambia’s leading hotels. Set on the sandy shores of the Atlantic Ocean in the popular coastal town of Kololi in The Gambia, Balafon Beach Resort is an adults-only hotel (16+) offering a unique blend of traditional and modern architecture. Established in 2016 the hotel was created with the vision of providing guests with a traditional African styled vacation with a contemporary modern twist.

If you want to enjoy the relaxed evening just a few steps from the sea, Balafon BBQ Fridays are the choice for you.
