Reserve 22 May in your diary and see you at YOSH Restaurant between 11:00-18:00.
Join us in our mission to make Gambia green… we are counting down the days!
The theme for the day will be biodiversity and sustainable development, in dedication to International Day for Biological Diversity. Enjoy learning about these crucial topics by getting involved in an environmental workshop or browsing the eco-friendly products vendors have to offer.
They invite everyone to be a part of this special event, from families, students and professionals to governmental leaders, teachers and decision makers. If you can’t make this one, then don’t worry they will be hosting the next one a few months later!
Available on the day:
- Environmental workshops
- Guest speakers
- Local, organic food and drinks
- Family-friendly activities
- Exciting raffle prizes
- Talented musicians
- Eco-friendly products
- Local charities, NGO’s & sustainable businesses
This is a not-for-profit event and all proceeds raised on the day will be donated to local charities.
Banko runs community arts projects and are currently building an eco-arts village at Kassi Kunda, The Gambia to provide stable places for creative people from the region and other countries to live, work, learn and create. They do this by investigating and incorporating vernacular materials and methods of construction to create earth buildings.
We are so excited to have this unique and inspirational NGO a part of the day and we look forward to hearing about their future projects.
