Every year, during the first week of March, the Sukuta Dembadu Carnival & Cultural Festival transforms Sukuta into a colourful celebration of culture, tradition, and community.

Organised by the Sukuta Youth Development Association, this annual festival provides a platform for communities to showcase their rich intangible cultural heritage through traditional dance, energetic drumming, vibrant masquerades, music, and cultural performances. It is a unique opportunity to experience the living traditions that have been passed down through generations while celebrating the diversity and identity of The Gambia.
