Friends Bar & Restaurant is next to Africa Village Hotel opposite NAWEC in the heart of Bakau and just a short drive to the Golf Course at Fajara.
Friends Bar & Restaurant was born after taking over the former Sweden Corner in May 2016.
The story behind Friends & Restaurant - Amanda has known Lamin & Essa since 2014 and it was never in her mind to start/invest in a Restaurant but the opportunity came up and she trusted that Lamin & Essa would make it work, Lamin took it over with the help of Essa and the original team.
How did we come up with the name Friends?!? We suggested different names, some laughable but none felt right and not what we wanted to represent so with many conversations trying to find a name, I said in passing 'I'm only doing this because we are friends' and that was it - Friends Bar & Restaurant was born. The logo represents the 3 of us and we wanted everyone to feel welcome and by the end of their visit not to feel like strangers but friends.
We hope that comes across 'Welcome may all who enter as strangers leave as Friends'
